I am so proud of the progress we are making with our clean eating challenge, even in these few short days. Hopefully you are staying on track and holding yourself accountable. A lot of us are used to buying packaged items at a grocery store and are overwhelemed when we realize that we can’t buy the brands that we normally do, because they are not “clean eating” approved.
Well today, as your fearless leader, I walked around Wegmans like a crazy person and took pictures of some awesome clean eating finds that you can use to replace some of your usual cupboard items.
First lets talk bulk items – besides nuts most of the stuff in the bulk section has a ton of extra crap and sugar in it – but I found these two gems at the Hudson Ave Wegmans today. Unsweetened dried mango and unsweetened banana chips. There are two awesome snacks to keep on hand – especially for when those sweet cravings kick in. My favorite is dipping the banana chips in some peanut or almond butter – YUM!
A lot of you very into your condiments (not judging just noticing haha) so I have found some great mustard options. The only ingredients in these mustards are water, vinegar, mustard seeds, salt, tumeric and paprika. If you don’t have a Wegmans around be sure to find a mustard that looks like this when it comes to ingredients – shouldnt have anything else!
Although I make my own salad dressing – and its so easy to do, some people just want one thats quick and already made, but most of the bottled dressings out there are crap. Bragg (who makes awesome Apple Cider Vinegar products) has these two awesome options for an Italian style dressing and a sweet berry dressing. Give them a taste!!
Coconut aminos are an awesome substitute for soy sauce and great for stir frys and sushi! I enjoy it more than soy sauce – if you havent tried it you should!
This spaghetti sauce looks so yummy and comes in all different varieties for clean eating success. Put it on some spaghetti squash and you have the perfect clean eating meal!
Missing breakfast cereal? Oatmeal or chia pudding would be my go to options to replace that – but I did see this Qia which is a chia, buckwhat and hemp cereal – loaded with lots of good fiber and protein and comes in a few different flavors!
Found this at Starbucks the other day as I convinced myself it was not appropriate to eat the lemon pound cake. Got this instead – the name says it all – its dried apple and dried mango smushed into a bar. As I type and look quickly it would be a lot cooler if the package read That Shit instead of That’s It…but less people would probably buy it. Look for it next time you are at Starbucks drooling over the bakery case.
Hope this helps!!
